Terms of Service
The service
mutual. connects social-media creators and businesses for collaborations — barter, paid, or both. We provide the matching, chat, deal-building and, for eligible deals, a secured payment flow. We are a platform, not a party to the collaborations agreed between users.
Accounts
You must be 18+ and provide accurate information. Profiles are human-verified before they appear in the deck; misrepresenting your audience, business or identity is grounds for removal. You're responsible for keeping your login secure.
Plans & billing
Free tiers include a limited number of lifetime matches. Paid plans renew monthly or yearly until cancelled (manageable any time from your Profile). Prices are shown excluding VAT; 18% Maltese VAT is added at checkout and itemised on your downloadable invoice. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.
Deals & secured payments
Deals from €50 up to €2,500 can be paid through the app: the business pays upfront, mutual. holds the funds, and they are released to the creator when the content is approved. A service fee of 5% (minimum €7.50) plus VAT applies to each side, and payment-processing costs are charged to the business. Deals above €2,500 must be settled directly between the parties. Disputes pause a deal; we may review evidence from both sides and decide on release or refund at our reasonable discretion.
All collaboration content must carry the legally required advertising disclosure (#ad / paid partnership). This is confirmed when a deal is created.
Acceptable use
No fake engagement, harassment, unlawful content, or attempts to move protected payments off-platform to avoid fees after agreeing to a secured deal. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules.
Liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before a claim. We are not liable for the conduct, content or performance of other users.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malta. Disputes belong to the courts of Malta. If a clause is found invalid, the rest stays in force. Last updated: 13 July 2026.
